Stay close to God
It’s no big surprise that I mention God first. He is first. He should always be first. I can’t begin to imagine what my life would be like without a relationship with my father. If you consider your life to be a mess then him not being in your life is most likely the reason that your life is that way. The solution is to start a relationship with him. Visit some churches and decide what church works best for you then get involved. it is the best decision you will ever make I promise you. I am only telling you this because I know it’s true and I’m sure you hear it all the time. I can go on for hours about how wonderful it is being close to him.
Develop a routine & habits
Come up with habits and write them down to remember to do for a week or two then sure enough you will have those habits. Same with having a routine. Write down what you want your days to look like. Doing almost the same thing almost everyday makes life so much easier.
Have a home for everything
Have a place for your things. Put them wherever works best and when you touch those items put them back where they belong. Simple as that. Before you do this you might also want to throw away a few things that you might not need anymore.
Write things down
I use the notes app a ton. It’s also nice because the notes are on my computer as well. That way my to do list or any other things that I write down are always available. I also have a physical planner from The Home Edit. I found it at Target and I love it. Target has a lot of good planners to choose from. Doesn’t have to be anything fancy. I believe that all planners are the same no matter how much they are. Writing things down frees up space in your brain. You don’t have to constantly be thinking about the things you have to do. I forget all of the time so I don’t know how I would go throughout life without writing things down.
Start a journal
While we are on the topic of writing things down, I would like to also mention writing in a journal. In my journal I write anything I want to clear my head. It is necessary for me to have my thoughts organized so that I can think more clearly. It’s also nice to look back at all of what you write.
Don’t do everything at once
Don’t try to squish everything into one single day. Doing a little bit each day allows you to do more of what you want to do. Also by doing that I feel good about myself.
Can’t forget about relaxing. Breaks are important. Slow down. Going outside always does the trick for me I’ve realized especially from being in college I have been inside more. Do whatever your heart desires. You don’t have to be doing something all the time. Don’t wear yourself out. That’s unhealthy if you don’t.
